Introduction to common indoor and outdoor floor paints 

Where there are people, there are buildings, and building floors are essential.  Some places may not have tall buildings, but there will certainly be floors.  The floor is the most frequently used building, it needs the most basic wear resistance and compression resistance. 

Today, there are many kinds of floor materials, and different floor paints will be chosen indoors and outdoors. At present, there are three mainstream floor coatings: epoxy floor paint, acrylic floor paint and polyurethane floor paint.  Land billion construction to introduce these floor paint! 

One, acrylic floor paint 

 1, weatherability: can be used for the outdoor environment of sunlight, such as outdoor parking lot, court, park road, etc.; 

2, strong adhesion: good adhesion, daily use is not easy to fall off;  

3, water acid resistance: water seepage to rain or the ground, a certain water resistance, not easy to decompose.  

Acrylic floor paint has good weather resistance, but poor heat resistance and solvent resistance. When the heating temperature exceeds 177-232℃, it degrades into monomer, and when strong solvent is cured, it will become sticky from solubility.  

Two, polyurethane floor paint 

1, weatherability: can be used for outdoor sunshine; 

2, impact resistance: high toughness materials have good impact resistance;  

3, high and low temperature resistance: can be used in the environment of -60℃-130℃.  

Three, epoxy floor paint 

1, wear resistance: epoxy base wear resistance is strong, no doubt; 

 2, chemical corrosion resistance: stability in acid and alkali environment, often used for corrosion and oxidation resistance applications;  

3, anti-skid performance: in the dry state, the maximum friction coefficient can reach 0.81, humidity is also up to 0.69, strong anti-skid performance.  

Epoxy floor paint is seamless, easy to clean, and does not gather dust and bacteria;  Smooth surface, rich color, can beautify the working environment;  Non-toxic ground, in line with health requirements;  It has skid resistance, but it has the following disadvantages. 

 

1, intolerance: natural resistance to ultraviolet light, so that it can only be used indoors; 

2, moisture-proof difference: for the infiltration of the ground, must first carry out moisture-proof treatment after construction; 

3. Low temperature resistance: It is easy to be brittle when used in the environment below minus 30℃. 

From the above introduction of epoxy floor paint, acrylic floor paint and polyurethane floor paint, it can be seen that these three kinds of floor have their own advantages! 

Epoxy floor paint is better than the former two in mechanical and chemical properties, in weather resistance, water resistance, acrylic floor paint and polyurethane floor paint are stronger.  Thus two more clear boundaries are formed: epoxy floor paint is used for indoor floor, while acrylic floor paint and polyurethane floor paint are mainly used for outdoor floor.
