The formation reason and solution of shrinkage hole of epoxy floor

Factories and workshops now require more cleanliness.But no matter how they're cleaned, most factories have debris on their floors.If the environmental conditions of epoxy floor paint are not very good, it is easy to cause floor shrinkage.

A, cause

Shrinkage hole will be produced if grinding is not good;

The pollution of wax or oil on the coated surface will also cause shrinkage of the coating film of the floor paint.

When spraying floor paint, too much water or oil in the compressed air will also cause shrinkage of the epoxy floor paint coating film;

Floor paint construction site pollution (such as dust, water droplets or grease), will also cause shrinkage.

Second, solutions

1, increase the film thickness of wet floor paint

Wet floor paint film is easily contaminated by dust particles with low surface tension.If the film of wet floor paint is thick enough, there will be no obvious shrinkage cavity formation;If the floor paint film is very thin, there is no floor paint supplement at the bottom will form a shrinkage hole.

2, increase the viscosity of wet paint film

If the viscosity of the wet floor paint film increases, prevents the flow of paint, even if the paint has the possibility of contraction, it will not produce contraction, so adding thixotropic agent can improve the viscosity of the wet paint film and prevent contraction.

3, low surface tension floor paint is not easy to form shrinkage cavity

Because there are fewer impurities than the low surface tension of this coating.Alkyd coatings have very low surface tension.Compared with acrylic coatings, polyvinyl acetate coatings have higher surface tension and more shrinkage problems.

4. The formula of floor paint should be reasonable

There is no bad solubility of each component in the floor paint. Some resins precipitate due to the poor solubility caused by solvent volatilization in the drying process.

When the epoxy floor shrinks, do not panic, find the correct treatment method in time, keep the floor dry and smooth, and meet people's needs.
